5/24/07 - Different card
We have four different borrower types: Resident, Non-Resident, Summer Non-Resident and Internet Only. Resident cards must be renewed every two years; the other card types must be renewed annually. SNR (summer non-resident) cards are a special value card for our visitors giving them full privileges to all our items and services from May to September for only $30.00 (access to books, videos, cds audiobooks, computer workshops, book clubs, online databases such as Ancestry, EBSCOhost, Newsbank and more). Those who prefer to just use our internet
computers purchase the Internet only card for just $10.00 a year! Now that's a cyber bargain. Because of our resort status and the strain it puts on our resources, we do require anyone using our internet
computers present their library card and sign in to access our equipment. The Library is also a "wireless
hotspot" so day visitors who don't wish to purchase a card may access the internet
on their own equipment.
john gives the gift of the internet
My parents were on dial-up until this christmas, when John realized that they can finally get 3G speeds in the house, and got them set up with a wireless
sim card router and wireless cards for their computers. Yay! My mom sent me this picture. They have never been able to send pictures before.
